The World Bank, the International Labour Organization, and the Royal Thai Government co-organized a workshop on “Model Development of Sustainable Health Care Financing,” June 11-12, 2007. This workshop was one of the many activities aimed at facilitating the implementation of the Country Development Partnership in Health (CDP-H), a cooperation framework between the World Bank and the Ministry of Public Health.

During the two-day workshop, public health policy makers from various Thai Government departments brainstormed on ways to make healthcare financing in Thailand sustainable in the long term. Ideas were also drawn from international organization partners on where they may contribute to the effort. The overall objective of the workshop is to explore existing policy options for public health financing and learn from the international experiences.
