Country Development Partnership on Poverty Analysis Monitoring (CDP-PAM)

Helping Promote Poverty Reduction and Increased Equality

The Country Development Partnership on Poverty Analysis and Monitoring (CPD-PAM) is a partnership between the Royal Thai Government (RTG), the World Bank, and other Development Partners, with the national planning agency, the Office of the National Economic and Social Development Board (NESDB) as the lead agency. CDP-PAM aims to support the implementation of the poverty reduction goals under Thailand’s Poverty Reduction Strategy and the Ninth Plan (B.E. 2002 – 2006). Through technical assistance, workshops, and training activities, CDP-PAM aims to assist the NESDB to achieve its poverty reduction goal by

  • providing more timely information on poverty,
  • improving the understanding of the patterns and causes of poverty in Thailand,
  • strengthening the poverty focus of government policies, and
  • enabling policy makers to target intervention more effectively.
